Summary of AI Cohort Choices

The AI Academy and AI Learning Lab are extended cohort experiences that help educators and leaders take their AI implementation and practice to the next level. Opportunities may include a mix of collaborative in-person work sessions, self-paced online learning, district coaching and PD, community exploration, and networking.

AI Academy

A collaborative cohort for K-12 AI leaders, designed to move beyond the technical hurdles of AI into intentional, human-centered practice. We prioritize visionary action, not just technical reaction, bringing together district and teacher leaders to design real-world solutions that empower staff and prepare learners for a dynamic landscape. Join us to turn the complexity of AI into a clear, visionary driver for district-wide innovation and sustainability.

The AI Academy includes:

  • Collaborative in-person design sessions
  • Four (4) hours of district coaching
  • Half day of in-district PD for up to 40 participants
  • Community site visits

Learning Intentions

  • Prioritize educational goals over technological pressure when designing frameworks to transition from reactive troubleshooting towards intentional leadership.
  • Design human-centered solutions and messaging that move staff and learners from a culture of fear to one of ethical curiosity and practical application.
  • Develop sustainable practices that bridge the gap between policy and classroom innovation, ensuring learners are prepared for a dynamic, AI-integrated future.

Next session begins May 2026. Registration coming soon!

AI Learning Lab

By pairing flexible online learning with a hands-on, in-person design session, this hybrid workshop will help you master the practical application of the skills needed for successful AI implementation. With multiple schedule options, the Learning Lab offers pathways for both educators and leaders.

The AI Learning Lab includes:

  • Four (4) eLearning Courses: Access to Introduction to AI plus three additional self-selected courses to explore at your own pace, ranging from NotebookLM to ethics to writing and more.
  • One (1) In-Person Design Session: Collaborate with a network of peers to build practical classroom materials.
  • Collaborative Resources: The resources that participants collaboratively create will be saved in a shared district repository, giving you a head start with a ready-to-use toolkit for the 2026-2027 school year.

Learning Intentions

  • Evaluate and Select: Identify and independently complete three AI learning pathways to build a personalized foundation in AI.
  • Design and Co-Create: Collaborate with a network of peers to design high-quality, practical, AI-enhanced materials and workflows tailored to specific instructional or leadership needs.
  •  Synthesize and Share: Work collectively to refine AI-generated content for accuracy and integrity, contributing to a shared repository of vetted resources for the upcoming school year.

Participants will receive a badge of recognition for their participation and contribution.

Next session begins May 2026. Registration coming soon!
