    • Portrait of a Graduate Support

A Portrait of a Graduate is a shared vision identifying the knowledge, skills and dispositions of today’s learners. It serves as your organization’s North Star by outlining the competency-based academic and essential skills necessary to prepare your learners for their future. A locally developed Portrait of a Graduate is designed to reinvigorate and re-engage all stakeholders and provide an intentional structure to support equitable access to high-quality learning experiences. It is the single most impactful thing you can do within your system to redefine success.

A Portrait of a Graduate:
• Creates a unified district vision and system alignment.
• Supports leading with the learner in mind.
• Identifies knowledge, skills and dispositions of today’s innovative learner.
• Focuses on equitable access to high-quality learning experiences.
• Promotes learner agency and prepares students to be lifelong learners and contributors.
• Provides the foundation for developing learner profiles
• Provides the foundation for building customized pathways for each learner.

Portrait of a Graduate Workshop

What hopes, dreams, and aspirations do you have for your learners? What are the skills and dispositions that our learners need for success in our global, rapidly changing society? What are the implications for educators and the learning experiences we provide in our classrooms? How would the development of high-quality, POWERful learning experiences, and equitable access to those experiences, help prepare our learners for their future?

This workshop will start your district on the path towards developing a Portrait of Graduate that addresses the unique needs of your learners and your community.

Are you ready for the next step? Join us to explore multiple strategies for making your PoG an integral part of the learning experience. Strategies will include empowering learners 4K-12 to be the central player in the learning and data collection process.
